The balancer of diesel locomotive wheel pairs is made according to drawing ТEZ.14.001 SB and is a component element of spring suspension of a wheel pair. Balancers are installed on diesel locomotives of 2TE10 series, TEM series, and others at the capital and current repair of the trucks. It’s used to distribute loads between the axes of wheel pairs.

To reduce wear and increase the service life, the sleeves are subjected to heat treatment (hardening).
